Interfacing & Development

The products in the “Interfacing and Development” category were developed to meet the needs of interfacing the PlanningForce suite products with standard third-party software on the market. These products are mainly ERP systems, project portfolio management solutions, CRM solutions, HR solutions and MES systems. They allow not only the development of value-added bi-directional interfaces (see Advanced ERP Connectivity), but also the development of complete functionalities that can be added to a third-party software environment.

The PlanningForce API is comparable to the submerged part of an iceberg. It is an extensive set of web services and methods that allow the different modules of PlanningForce to be seamlessly interconnected with third-party systems. By using advanced connectivity techniques, data integrity is guaranteed, as well as ascending compatibility when any of the interfaced systems need to be updated. The PlanningForce API adds intelligence to the entire company’s information system. This accelerates the transition to the “intelligent enterprise” whilst reducing the total cost of ownership of the various software systems.

Exchanging customer databases may be necessary to help customers improve a process or to detect and analyze the origin of a problem. However, our customers’ data can be very sensitive due to the nature of their business. That is why we give them the opportunity to make some or all of this data anonymous through the use of our CDA module. The mechanism works in both directions. This means that, for example, after improving a process or detecting the origin of a problem, the database returned to the customer in anonymous mode will be unencrypted in its production environment.
