Tactical planning distributes tasks across the entire value chain. It matches them with resources, processing all orders, constraints, deadlines, supplies, resource capacities, and preferences.
The sequences provided by PlanningForce are optimized thanks to its calculation engine. The planning is established in order to meet deadlines, optimize the use of resources. It also works to avoid production stoppages, breakdowns (thanks to the early scheduling of preventive maintenance), waste and rework (because the right resources are planned in the right place at the right time), administrative work (because manual data entry is reduced) and, most importantly, the time spent on planning.
Periodic Progression
At a given date, or when the need arises, the progress of ongoing activities is considered in order to calculate the remaining work for each operation. This function makes it possible to tell how orders are progressing and, from there, to measure any discrepancies between what had been planned and what has been achieved.
By taking into account the periodic progress, the remaining work, as well as new orders can be subject to a new planning phase that will result in a new version of the plan.
